2012年4月26号，六位候选人来到了大西洋，进入了“冰五号”，他们即将在接下来的日子里，一起共度471天的时光。他们被密封到了一个与世隔绝的地方，只为了完成一项模拟在陌生星球生存状况的任务。。故事发生在一个偏远沙漠中的矿业小镇。殖民超级大国为了消灭澳洲原住民（澳大利亚原住民和托雷斯海峡岛民），在1788年把最后一个吸血鬼据点中的一族，从英国运到了澳大利亚。这些吸血鬼为了躲避阳光，潜伏在小镇四周的地下矿井和隧道中，一直到了今天。这些殖民者的数量在增加，饥饿感也越来越强烈，战争即将来临。 猎人Tyson (Rob Collins饰)和Shanika (Shantae Barnes-Cowan饰) 是两名原住民吸血鬼猎人，前者不计后果、自以为是，后者只是一个17岁的孤儿，他们冲在了这场战争的最前方。。October 24, 1944, the world's greatest battle at sea begins in the Philippines.
