Dr. Evan Beaumont (Edmund Gwenn) retrieves his dead body and revives it, as part of his experiments to reanimate a dead body and discover what happens to the soul after death....。女主角易希桦(米雪演)与易希骐(林建明演)是同父异母两姊妹，希桦小时候亲眼看见父亲易景利(张铮演)不理会希骐的母亲毒打自己的母亲致意外死亡,于是希桦一直对父亲及亲姊均心存芥蒂。后来三人均在警界重遇，希桦更成为他们的上司，因为始终不能接受父亲的过去，所以多番挑剔他。然而,易景利一直心存懊悔,希望终有一日希桦会原谅他，于是多番表示，唯一直不果。处于二人之界的希骐,也为父亲不值,多番劝告,姊妹两人经常不和,却又要在公事之间的合作,成为剧里前半部的重点。 后半部则是三人终于因多番了解而和好,希桦与总督察雷俊豪(朱江演)相爱并结婚。雷俊豪背后原来是黑社会头子,并且多番杀掉身边本是朋友的异已,希骐眼见真相,于是告之希桦,希桦本来不相信,但后来终于知道真相,最后她要调查丈夫,甚至要捉拿丈夫,令她要陷于公义与感情之间。
