为了调查双胞胎哥哥孙小糊的失踪，孙小涂参加了警队的招新考试，却在考试现场卷入警察局长遇刺事件，幸好有一直以灵魂形态存在的哥哥相助才脱险。而局长遇刺事件也牵扯出以著名脑科医生毕安为首的犯罪集团，他们通过移植承载灵魂的虫体实验，企图控制社会高层，从而掌控城市。这个阴谋被小糊以及女友夏冰警督撞破，小糊失踪之谜也随之解开。因为虫体移植会出现吞噬反应，进行了虫体植入手术的小糊和小涂只能活一个，面对毕安的要挟，小涂选择自杀来复活小糊，却被小糊抢先一步射杀了自己的身体来保全小涂。。Guy Maddin writes, "Tscherkassky has made two films cannibalizing Sidney J.
