1947年东北，国民党军抢夺胜利果实，攻击解放军根据地。解放军狙击手杨建峰上猛虎山求援张东山，被悍匪许天雷陷害杀了张东山，丹娘誓要报杀父之仇，杨建峰智勇揭开国民党阴谋，最终，丹娘弃暗投明，和杨建峰一起血战猛虎山，将九山十八岗悍匪一网打尽。。心医叶平安（刘诗诗饰）为一桩旧案寻至圣都，因擅用心计，被人视作“巫女”，人人避之不及。大理寺丞元少城（窦骁饰）出身邙沟贱民区，他冷峻狠戾，时刻抓住机会向上爬。此时，圣都突发命案，一朝廷命官惨死家中。叶平安曾为其治疗失眠顽疾，且正好出现在命案现场，因此被视作杀人凶手。元少城看出此案蹊跷，但仍将叶平安置于死地，以作自己晋阶的“投名状”。可任谁也想不到，叶平安早已在她的复仇之路上，下出了布局的第一颗棋。。A film version of a play Fassbinder directed in Hamburg, Clare Booth Luce's "The Women".
