明里（谭俊彦饰）和女友雅茜（赖雅妍饰）交往多年，早就开始了同居的生活。明里是一名影像艺术家，非常忠于自己这份事业的他对艺术充满了崇敬之情，可惜这份尊重并不能够为为他带来收益，家里的经济压力全都落在了身为模特的雅茜肩上。俗话说贫贱夫妻百事哀，雅茜和明里的关系因为经济原因而隐隐产生了裂痕。 为了完成自己的作品，明里前往鼓浪屿，追随一位手艺精湛的油纸伞大师学习技术，哪知道这位大师不是别人，正是雅茜的母亲。与此同时，雅茜在工作中结识了手机商铁民（金佳饰），铁民对雅茜展开了热烈的攻势。。“From Far Away” is a documentary dealing with a journey through Turkey.
