本剧为一廿集中篇处境剧，每集均有独立主题，故事环绕着一妇女团体“八娥会馆”发生，会馆由一群来自中上阶层的女性组成：会长赵关得英(李香琴)、对头人马惠(缃旖)、以夫为荣的贾玉芬(唐丽球)、才女唐咏诗(邱月清)等。这几名女子明争暗斗、互相利用，为大众情人葛德华(邓浩光)而争风呷醋，闹得会馆翻天覆地。Max Raban is a former journalist, reduced to raking through bins for celebrity stories. Everything changes when he uncovers information that will lead him into a frightening world of deceit and distrust. As Max's world crumbles around him he struggles to find a way to expose the truth.。
